Zaneta F. Mitchell was born on January 23, 2000, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Adriana Shannon and Larry Mitchell. On February 9, 2025, at Novant (New Hanover Regional Medical Center), Zaneta went home to her Heavenly Father. She was educated at the New Hanover County Schools and graduated from E. A. Laney High School in 2019. She was a very loving, smart, affectionate and highly intelligent young lady who stepped up to help raise her younger siblings, giving her love, time and devotion as if they were her very own children. She did this while finishing high school and working. Zaneta would go on to attend Miller Motte College, and work in the healthcare field. She loved her family, friends and her canine baby "Tinka" unconditionally. She is and will continue to be loved and missed for eternity. Our hearts are shattered to pieces, but we know no matter how much we wanted her to remain with us, our loving God knows best, and we must accept His will, "Not our will but Thy will be done". Zaneta F. Mitchell leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Adriana Shannon and father, Larry Mitchell; her very loving and caring stepfather, Ryan Lucas (Spaceman); siblings, Jamarion, Jakiria, Katie, Tytavis, Erriccka, Alarica, Mehketi, and Zimirious: grandfathers, James Miller and Larry Mitchell, Sr.; grandmother, Rachel Lucas. Many very special friends, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Oh yea! And her canine baby "Tinka" YOU WILL SURELY BE MISSED! We will Love You forever.
