Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 2929 Princess Place Drive.  Visitation is from 6-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Zalleux Johnson, Sr. was born on June 16, 1974, to Helen Johnson and the late Alexander Johnson.  Zalleux received his education within the New Hanover County school district where he received his nickname "Chang-a-lang" graduating from New Hanover High in 1992.  Zall also attended barber college in Charlotte, NC.  He was a faithful member of Light of the World Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC, under the leadership of Rev James A Brown.  Zall was also employed at New Hanover Hospital for 9 years. He also worked with the children at the Juvenile Day Treatment Center in Wilmington, NC. He taught them how to cook and drive the van. He also sold movies and CD's and enjoyed all the new music that came out.  He is proceeded in death by his son Zalleux Johnson Jr. (ZJ).  God parents Elaine and Lawrence Dandridge, brother Michael Hayes and sister Tammy Hayes.  He leaves to cherish his wife Yolanda Hayes Johnson.  Daughters; Nila McBride, Zatia and Zataya Johnson.  Grandchildren Novalynn and Messiah, Mother-in-Law Sherry Hayes, Sisters; Aliesha Johnson, and Angel (Styrus) Daniels, Tricia and Kasonya Hayes.  Brother Maurice Hayes. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.  Special cousins Douglas, Gregory and Evelina Johnson, special friends Marvin, Smallwood, Carl, and special uncles Lewis and Joe.
