Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home. Visitation is 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Deacon Willie Randolph Smith entered into his eternal rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.  He served in the US Army (PVT E-4) for 1 year 11 months 29 days. Metals:  National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; 2 Overseas Service Bars: Sharpshooter Badge M-14 Rifle; Vietnam Campaign Medal.  Willie worked at Coastal Cabinets (Tim & Mike), Superior Millworks LLC, Standard Glass (always working with his hands).  He was a member of Zion Chapel AME Zion Church.  When there was an event, he was always cooking shrimp in gravy, and he hand squeezed lemonade.  He cleaned up the church grounds, and grave sites.  He leaves to cherish his memory:  mother of his children (ex-wife) Barbara Ann Smith, children: Warren (Tonjua) Howard, LaShonda Sidbury, Barabara Ann (Myron) Bullock and Lameika (Marion) Holt.  Three brothers:  Harlee (Brenda) Jordan; Frank (Sandra) Jordan: Dennis (Kay) Smith; Seven sisters:  Dorothy Jordan; Thelma (Clyde) Hemmingway, Ernestine (Vincent) Waddell, Sarah Smith, Josephine James, Marilyn Bloodworth and Geraldine Jordan. Ten grandchildren:  La'Quan Keaton, Gerome Sidbury, Taquise Holt, Marquise Holt, George Holt, Adria Howard, Niara Howard, Keja Howard, Tatyanna White, Mylacia Carr.  Ten great grandchildren:  Jrue Keaton, Janelle Keaton, Journee Keaton, Lyla Sidbury, Nova Howard, Arya Howard, Amara Howard, Niko Howard, Enslie Howard, Ka'vai Howard.  A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
