Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church Cemetery, Riegelwood, NC.  No Visitation.

Weldon Moore, Jr. was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 26, 1974.  He received his education in the New Hanover County school system. He later attended Shaw University, UNC Central, and graduated from CFCC in 2017.  He was an entrepreneur who opened an LLC and started Moore's Transport Company in 2020.  He traveled the country in "Big Red" with his companion Dog "Lima Bean".  Weldon was a devoted father who loved spending quality time with his children and always praised their accomplishments.  His love and memories will remain in the hearts of the family;  Dr. Lucille Moore and Dr. Ralph W. Moore; his children, Donovan Stephens, Jordan Moore, Josiah Moore, and Zyanna Green; his siblings, Gabrielle Nixon, Shannon Moore and Cassandra Moore; nieces, Erick Wrisbon and Nicole Wrisbon; great-nephew, Josiah Melvin.  His best friend was his pit bulldog, "Lima Bean".
