Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Friday at New Covenant Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Spring Green Church Cemetery, Acme, NC. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Bro. Vincent Fitzgerald-Bryant was born on August 7, 1964, to Foster and Sadie Bryant. He left this mortal life and entered eternal rest on Monday, December 18, 2023. Vincent grew up in Wilmington, NC and attended schools in the New Hanover County System. He graduated in 1982 from John T. Hoggard High School. He would go on to attend Shaw University for three years. He then left to enter the United States Air Force where he would serve honorably for 16 years. After his military service, he was employed by the United Stated Federal Bureau of Prisons, USP Atlanta where he would work for over 20 years. He met the love of his life, Sara, in the 6th grade and he would be her date and escort at the AKA Sorority Debutant Ball. They would marry on April 1, 2017, and would have many beautiful years of married life together. They enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. Their most recent trip to Hawaii was their most memorable vacation. Vince loved football and the Pittsburg Steelers was his team. He also enjoyed basketball and loved the Golden State Warriors. Bro. Vince saw his need for a Savior and gave his heart to Christ, when he was 46 years old. He joined New Covenant as a member in May of 2021, and was baptized at New Covenant Holiness Church on July 28, 2023. He was faithful to his church and stayed true to his faith in God until the end. As the Apostle Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 5:8, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know that Bro Vince is rejoicing with the Lord in heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Sara Anne Bryant, his daughter, Chelsae Nykol Bryant, stepson, Alexander Brandon Jackson, and his grandson; Zion Amir Thomas; sisters, Paulette Williams (Thaddeus), Regina Fennell (Anthony), Laura Mayo (Andrew), brothers; Ralph Bryant, Bruce Bryant (Jenelsie) brother-in-law; Alexander Jackson (Geill), sister-in-law; Lisa Jackson Sparks (Dwayne), Aunt Pam Shepard (Terry), Uncle Bobby Bryant, and beloved nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
