FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE FUNERAL HOME!!!

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April28, 2023, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Winnabow, NC.  Burial will follow in the Haw Hill Cemetery, Winnabow, NC.  Visitation is from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Vernie Edge, daughter of the late Lossie Bell Jenkins and Gaston Jenkins was born January 24, 1945, in Wilmington, North Carolina.  She was a member at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully as an Usher and Member of the Choir.  She quietly departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington, NC.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Edge, son, Maurice Edge, and brothers, William Jackson, and Gaston Jenkins, Jr.  Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Leslie Edge, Raymond Edge (Lisa), Shawn Edge (Queen), and Felix Edge; grandchildren, Dianna Knox (Jeremey), Jennifer Ballard (Sylvester), Cruz Edge (Bianca), Anthony Harris, Amanda Thomas (Patrick), Justin Edge, Miracle Washington; great grandchildren, Rashid Hough, Patricia Hough, Diane Edge, Adashia Hough, Leslie Hough, Terrence Jackson, Joseph Prince, Darian Edge, Jayden Edge, Trenton Edge, Layla Edge and Kamarjae Edge; great great grandchildren, Au'nesti Griffin, Jamari Spencer, and sisters, Rosita Liadi and Barbara Jenkins.  Vernie will sadly be missed by a very special friend, George, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends..
