Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at St James A.M.E. Church, Castle Hayne. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral Home.
Tyrone Lewellyn Foy was the son of Leon (Jewel) Foy and Velma Allen Foy. He was born on December 13, 1968, in Frankfurt, Germany along with his twin brother Terry. Early Wednesday morning January 28, 2026, he was called home. He attended public schools in Frankfurt, Germany, and New Hanover County Public Schools. He graduated from Laney High School in 1988. As a parent, he was a long-time active PTA officer, which showed compassion through his good work until his health failed. He was faithful member of St James A.M.E Church, through his good works he served in five choirs faithfully. He is a former class leader #11. He was the president of Men's and A.R. Watson Choir. However, he had shown many talents as a Sunday School and VBS teacher. Through the years, he served faithfully as a Trustee and Son's of Allen. Of his many works, he was a delegate of previous annual conference and board member of the Rockhill Community Center. He participated in on Meals on Wheels through the Missionary Department faithfully. For the great artwork he had done, he painted the mural in the children's preschool room. He was an employee at Walmart for 10 years as a supervisor. Eventually he pursued a career in ceramics and flooring while working as a great freelance artist for businesses and friends of the city. Tyrone showed compassion and stood on a firm Foundation that left a lasting impact for his family, church, and community. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years, Vickie Keeling Foy, and his children Mathew and Marissa Foy; his loving mother Velma Allen Foy and father Leon (Jewel) Foy; his brother Michael Foy (Zeola), Wilmington, NC, sister Pamela Foy Walling (Tom), Fuqua Varina, NC, twin brother Terry L. Foy, Wilmington, NC; eight nieces and nephews; four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, 3 aunts and three uncles; many great-grand nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
