Ty’Quarious
Gause
May 18, 1995 – February 11, 2023
On Saturday, February 11, 2023, our beloved Ty'Quarious Gause "Ty" was called home to be with the Lord. Ty was born on May 18, 1995, in Wilmington, NC to Markisha Gause. He was 27 years old. Ty grew up playing sports, he was very athletic. He played football and baseball faithfully every season. He would always be ready to participate in the fundraising events with his mother and Aunt Dora. He was always there to help you celebrate or just support in any way he could. He loved to plan big family events that included grilling, laughter, and games. You knew he was going to show up. Ty loved being with family, his children, and close friends. Ty was a simple man and would make time to visit his mother for her famous Lasagna, and one of his naps. He was a dedicated employee at the NC State Ports in Wilmington. He often talked about traveling and always wanted to see you do better and be greater. He was a loving and patient Father, and loved his companion Kyeishia, his backbone, as he would say. He was a loyal family man and made sure everyone knew we were a unit. He would bring the children to every family function. He was so full of life and had unspeakable job and love when he saw you. He would greet you with a huge hug followed by his infectious laugh. He was very business minded and always thinking of a plan to take care of everyone. Ty was hardworking, dependable, a protector and so energetic. His love was genuine, he always made time for his siblings, Mya, and Isaiah, and just wanted to make sure they were happy. He was educated in the New Hanover Public School system, where he received his diploma. Ty leaves behind a loving mother, Markisha Gause, his faithful companion, Kyeshia Johnson, children; Ty'Len Gause, Mathew Kennedy, Jr., and arriving soon Ty'Quarious, Jr., siblings; Sa'Mya Gause, Isaiah Gause, and Shaquille Gregg, grandparents; Martha Merrick, Eula Brunson, and Charles Brunson, aunts; Theodora Gause, Letitia Gause and Davida DeBose, uncles; Lamont Gause, Theodore Gause and Deddrick Brown. A host of family members, and friends, but these were closest; Tanisia, Rokeem, Gary, Zy, Quan, Chyna, Champ, Big Baby, Drama, and Derez. Ty will be missed dearly.
