Trevell Antonio Bowen was a carefree spirit, a devoted father, and a hardworking soul who departed this life on August 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Born to the late Patricia Ann Brown Harris and Carl Bowen Sr. on April 13, 1991, Trevell began his journey in Detroit, Michigan, where he spent his early childhood years. In his teens and early adulthood, he and his family relocated back to their roots in the Wrightsboro and East Arcadia Communities, proudly making Wilmington, North Carolina, his home.Through life's trials and tribulations, Trevell never let obstacles define him. With perseverance and determination, he built a professional career at Duke Energy before pursuing and earning his CDL, a role he passionately embraced until his passing. He was also a proud part of a brotherhood of bikers and truckers, traveling from Currie to East Arcadia, where the bonds of loyalty and fellowship ran deep. At his core, Trevell's greatest joy and purpose in life was being a father. He lived for his children, and every moment of fatherhood was cherished beyond measure. His love for being a dad was unmatched; it was his proudest role and most treasured blessing. His daughters were true "daddy's girls," and the bond they shared with him will remain unbreakable. Trevell was family-oriented, fun-loving, and known for his warm humor. He enjoyed racing, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved being behind a stove or on the grill, bringing family and friends together through his cooking. With a bright smile and a good joke always ready, he brought laughter and light to everyone around him. Trevell's paternal grandmother, Beatrice Lacewell Bowen, and maternal grandfather, Ezra Brown Sr., both preceded him in death. They each played a significant role in his upbringing and life, instilling in him values of family, strength, and perseverance that he carried with him always. He leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful daughters, Amira Bowen (mother, Quadeshia Irons), Sanaa Bowen (mother, Amber Mackey), and Kyyomi Bowen (mother, Vivian Moore); his father, Carl Bowen Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Geneva Hartman Brown; his siblings, Carl "Pookie" Bowen Jr., Demetrius "Mickey" Bowen, Carl Johnson, Rasheeda Okiemute (Jerry), Domineek Green, Hope Doughty, and Tiana Doughty; nephews, Tyshawn Bowen, Sincere Bowen, Montana Leach-Bowen, and Memphis Leach-Bowen; nieces, Samaya Bowen, Kymberle Bowen, Sydney Bowen, Gi'Ona Green, and Kamiya Bowen; and a great-niece, Kierria Bowen. Also holding him close in heart are his cousin, LaShonda Teague, who was like a second mother to him; his God-sister, Jamiesha Owen; his best friend, Joshua Allen; his chosen sisters, Ja'na Washington, Tireisha "RIRI" Dantley and Samiyaee "Maj" Kelley; and a special friend, Rhegeine Nelson. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends will continue to carry his memory forward. Trevell Antonio Bowen will forever be remembered for his resilient spirit, his generosity, and above all, his love as a father. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
