Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 30, 2023, John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Tracey L. Taylor, Jr., son of Tracey Taylor, Sr. of Brooklyn, New York and Jacqueline "Miza" Daily of Raleigh, North Carolina was born December 9, 1992, in Wilmington, North Carolina and departed his earthly life on July 21, 2023. Tracey affectionately known as "IJ" attended the public schools of New Hanover County. Anyone that knew him would know that he had a heart of gold and was always the life of the party.  "IJ" was loved and respected by a host of family and friends. If you called IJ at any given time he would answer by saying "YO". IJ meant a great deal to many and he lived a life with an unforgettable outgoing spirit. His legacy will never be forgotten, and the lifetime of memories will never be lost. Tracey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley A. Dailey, Margurite Dorsey and Jasper Taylor. Tracey 'IJ' Taylor, Jr.'s wonderful life of 30 years with us will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Zoey Imira Taylor, Kashton Kymir" Wilson-Taylor, Julius Allen, Wynter Days, and Aniyah Shamiere Taylor all of Wilmington, North Carolina; his father, Tracey Taylor, Sr of Brooklyn, NY; mother, Jacqueline "Miza" Dailey of Raleigh, NC; lifetime partner, Julia "Pinkey" Allen of Wilmington, NC; grandfather, Alfred (Roseanne) Bryant of Leland, NC; sisters, Traquana Darden of Brooklyn, NY and Adaniss Taylor of Winston Salem, NC; brothers, Quentin (Kenyatta) Kennedy of Wilmington, NC, Trevion Taylor of Winston Salem, NC and Montrille Dailey of Wilmington, NC; seven aunts, Tina Robinson of Wilmington, NC, Sharon (Mike), Nicole (Marcus) of Tuskegee, AL, Charlene (Guy), Robin, Sonia, and Kim (Guy) all of Brooklyn, NY: four uncles, Anthony (Rosalyn) of Fort Worth, TX, Frederick Dailey of Greensboro, NC, Clarence Dailey of Wilmington, NC and Patrick Bryant of Leland, NC;  special cousins, Tiara Dailey and Tashawna Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
