Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Navassa, NC. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery, Leland, NC. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Timothy Alfred Jones "Tim Alston" departed this life July 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 25, 1962, in Wilmington, NC to William Alfred Alston and Beulah Mae Jones Alston. Tim received his education through the Brunswick County School System where he received a certificate in brick masonry. As a young man he moved to Wilmington, NC where he resided until he was called to his Heavenly home. The day after graduating high school he went to work at DuPont through the construction company, Fluor Daniels, which later transitioned to Mundy Construction Company. He also loved breeding pit bulls and rottweilers as well as collecting rare coins and baseball cards. He had a deep love for fishing and took pride in his personal fish aquarium. He was preceded in death by his parents William Alfred Alston and Beulah Mae Jones Alston; two brothers Carl Gene Alston and Eric Alston. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving aunt who raised him, Dorothy Marie Moore of Leland, NC; his two sons, Corderro Jones (Denise) of Charlotte, NC; Kadeem Jones, of Navassa, NC. Three brothers, William Alston, Jr. (Lakaysha); Christopher Alston, both of Navassa, NC and Akeem Alston (Amanda) Hampstead, NC. Four sisters, Barbara Sheree Alston, of Navassa, NC; Cindy Sidbury of Greensboro, NC; Jacqueline Myers (Ivory) of Leland, NC; Janice Jones of Wilmington, NC. Three grandchildren, Cameron Jones, Cairo Jones, Cadence Jones, all of Charlotte, NC. One aunt, Terryce Willis (Eulis) of Navassa, NC. One uncle, Alvin Alston (Doris) of Marietta, GA. One great aunt, Ruth Harris of Spring Hill, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; best friends Bishop Ronnie Balloon and Johnny Grady, Jr.
