Visitation will start at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday.

Thomas Wilson Easter , son of the late James Henderson Easter, Sr. and Pearl Williams Easter, was born on February 8, 1940, in Wilmington, North Carolina.  On Friday, December 30, 2022, after an illness, God touched him with His finger of love to dwell in His house forever.  Thomas Easter was a logger by trade, working with his father for many years prior to his passing.  Thomas also loved to work on cars and other mechanical devices as a hobby.  Thomas Easter was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Mercy Easter; one brother, Odess Chavis and two sisters, Estelle Davis, and Edna Sayles.  Thomas Wilson Easter leaves to mourn: one brother, James Henderson (Geneva) Easter, Jr. of Wilmington, NC and two sisters, Margaret Easter Greene of Petersburg, VA and Lucy Easter Aikens (Frederick) of Raleigh, NC; five nephews and eight nieces.  He had a very special niece, Deborah Chavis Munn of Wilmington, NC, who helped take care of him during his later years.
