Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Tanesha Chenille Faison was born on February 3, 1990, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Tanesha transitioned in life on Friday May 10, 2024.  Tanesha was the daughter of Shelia Brunson (Sherman) and the late William Johnson.  She was raised by her grandmother Thelma Cade and grandfather Robert Cade.  Tanesha graduated from E. A. Laney High School.  She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking as a hobby, she loved music, watching movies with family and friends, loved reality tv, talking, walks, and spending time with her son Chase.  Tanesha was always a happy, soft spoken, and lovable young lady.  Her involvement with her nonprofit From Word Out Ministries was one of her passions.  Tanesha was preceded in death by her son, Damir Malia Faison; father William Johnson; stepfather Larry D. Faison; grandmother Doris Frazier; great-grandmas Corrine McClammy and Thelma James; aunt Pearl Nixon; great-aunt Mary Brown; great-uncle James Pollock Sr., and cousin, James Pollock Sr. Tanesha cherished family members include son Chase Amir Faison; mother Sheila Brunson (Sherman); sister Danielle Faison; stepsisters Aiereal Lloyd and Rhykia Lloyd; brother Clayton Pollock (Amy); grandmother Thelma Cade; grandfather Robert Cade; nieces Amelia Pollock, Britany Pollock, and Elaina Pollock; nephews Tyriq Simpson and Corey Pollock; 1st First Cousins Portia Pollock and Erica Pollock.  A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
