Tamika Collen Hayes Brown was born on September 19, 1977, to Carlotta Haynes and John Haynes in Wilmington, NC.  She departed her earthly home on September 25, 2024, in Greensboro, NC.  She was preceded in death by her brother Jermain Haynes.  Tamika's journey through life begun in New Hanover County, where she attended public school before relocating to Richmond, VA.  In 1995, she graduated from John Marchall High School.  After graduating high school, Tamika embarked on her professional journey, her first stop was the bustling world of the United Parcel Service.  Yet, she did not stop there.  Driven by ambition and a thirst for growth, she navigated through various roles at different companies, until she finally found her true calling at Bank of America, a position she not only excelled in, but cherished deeply, along with the co-workers she was so blessed to work with. Tamika's life was a vibrant melody of purpose, passion and love.  While her professional accomplishments sang a song of success, it was the harmony of her soul that truly made her unforgettable. She found joy in traveling, spending time with family, and loved eating soul food.  Tamkia also had a very outspoken love for R&B singer, Bobby Brown, and her home was always filled with warmth and laughter.  She dedicated her life to her family and her job, touching the lives of many with her generosity and love.  In August of 2012, Tamika was wedded to Mr. Chrishuan Brown.  With her heart overflowing with love, she dedicated herself to her family and nurturing her precious daughters Ke'Ana Haynes, Ra'Nashae Haynes, and Chrishaun Brown.  She instilled in them the treasured values of family, kindness, and the joy of laughter, forever shaping the women they would become.  Her children were her pride, reason for being, and the sparkle in her eyes.  The cherished moments she spent with her godchildren, creating memories that would warm their hearts for a lifetime, brought her immense joy.  Her love will echo through generations, a testament to a mother's enduring legacy. Tamika was a God-fearing woman.  Growing up in Wilmington, NC, she attended The Greater Love Chapel Ministries, where she was very active in the church from birth until her teenage years.  She was active in the Sunshine Band and the children' s choir.  While she was not a lead singer, she made you believe through adlib that she was singing her heart out.  She always participated in the Easter, Christmas plays and loved going to YPWW to enjoy the snacks and gathering with Andrea Peterson.  Tamika and her brother would complain how their dad made sure that they were the first ones at the 9:00 am prayer on Sunday morning.  She loved to laugh and have fun and gave advice to spruce up things with the young people.  She would help in any capacity.  She enjoyed the youth summer outings and the vacation time with family, while the discipline seemed strong when she was young, she was happy in her adult years that the Word of God was taught to her.  Tamika's devotion to God was evident in every aspect of her life.  As a faithful member of New Vision Kingdom Fellowship Church, she eagerly sought out ways to serve her church, offering her time and talents, whenever they were needed.  Oftentimes, she would be found near the back with the children passing out snacks, and electronics, keeping the children quiet.  Tamika approached each opportunity with a joyful heart, and a genuine desire to honor the Lord.  Her love of singing was especially apparent, as she could often be found traveling alongside the renowned Vincent Bohanan and TVA choir, leading her harmonies to their powerful performance, as if she were fully-fledged member.  Left to cherish her memories are her mother Charlotta Haynes of Dallas, TX; father John Haynes (Miriam) of Wilmington, NC; daughters Ke'Ana Haynes, Ra'Nashae Haynes and Chrishaun Brown of Greensboro, NC; aunt Charlotta Spikes (Elder Willie Spikes) of Lufkin, TX, aunt Delores Johnson of Dallas, TX; uncles Roy (Beverly) Haynes of Clinton, MD, Clyde (Louvenia) Haynes of Castle Hayne, NC, Johnny Gentry of Waco, TX, Loyd Spivey of Detroit, MI; and a host of many other cousins, family and friends.  In addition to her family, Tamika is survived by cherished best friends; Tiwana Nixon, Elizabeth Greene, Talya Williams and Tonya Lewis, who brought joy and laughter into her life.  Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and an unwavering spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
