Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Mt. Calvary AME Church, Navassa, NC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Our beloved mother, Stephanie departed this life on January 31, 2023, at the age of 71.  She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.  "Feenie" as she was affectionately called, had many close cousins and "sister" friends and was a well-loved member of any community she was a part of from North Carolina to Georgia.

She was predeceased by her father, William Hooper, Sr., mother, Lillie Bell Hooper, and her brother, Walter "Brother Boy".  She is survived by her husband Robert Barnes, III, (Georgia), son, Antonio Hooper, (Georgia), her daughter, Tyra Harrison, and son-in-law, Richard Harrison, (Virginia), grandchildren, Aliyah, Alexa, and Collin, granddaughter, Alicia McIver, and great grandson, Nazzay McIver.  The children of Walter Myers, Emma, Tyon, and Eric, brother Lindsey Hooper, (New Jersey), children, Ricky, Cornelius, and Anthony, brother, Clayton "Darnell" Hooper and sister-in-law, Diane Hooper, (Connecticut), children, Tianna, Morgan, and Treasen.  Dear cousins:  Willimenia Tisdale, Joann Walker, Beverly Gail Bryant and soul sister friends, Beverly Willis, Takita Holland, Wanda Jones, Godson, Joshua, and Margaret "Mickey" Nixon.
