Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Shirley Junious-Nixon transitioned Friday, July 12, 2024, at home in Killeen, Texas.  Shirley was born February 1,1958, in Raleigh, NC.  She was the youngest daughter of George and Eva Mae Junious.  Shirley grew up and attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.  Her proudest moments were becoming a mother, nurturing her family and praising the Lord.  Shirley loved the Lord and attended Beyond Veil Church in Killeen, Texas.  There she worked with a property management company and also served as a healthcare provider before her passing.  Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; George and Eva Mae Junious, her husband; Mr. Anthony Nixon, two brothers; Anthony Junious and Eric Junious, sister; Lilly Mae Hannah and grandson; Leolajuwon Junious.  Survivors include her loving son Ricardo "Lamont" Junious and wife Allyson Junious, three grandchildren; Demond (Dez), Alexya, and Lamonte (Dre), whom she loved going to see play football every Saturday.  Her two brothers; Samuel Jackson (Raleigh, NC), George Junious (Greenville, NC), three sisters; Annie Mae Yates (Wilmington, NC), Rosa Junious (Philadelphia, PA), Carolyn Junious (Memphis, TN), one aunt; Elizabeth Parsons (Philadelphia, PA), a special friend Lawrence Lucas (Killeen, TX), and a host of loving family members and friends.
