Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Warner Temple AME Zion Church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Memorial Cemetery.  Shelia Allen was born July 26, 1949, in Wilmington, N.C. to the late Nathaniel Walker and Mary Anna-Allen.  She departed her earthly home peacefully (at the age of 74) on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Novant Health-New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a long illness.  Shelia attended Williston High School and received her GED through "The Wilmington Housing Authority".  She worked at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Environmental Services.  Our beloved enjoyed spending time with her children and family.  But everyone knew they could often find her at her sister Jackie's home sitting directly across from one another enjoying family and friends. Shelia had a great affection for family.  Preceding her in death:  two sisters, Deborah Ringwood, and Evelyn Walker one brother; Robert Lee Allen and Stepfather, Joseph "Buster" Mack.  She leaves to cherish her precious memories:  two daughters; Ursula Allen and Ngina Allen, three sons; Titus Allen, Derrick Allen, and Brandon Allen and two Bonus children; Aundrea James and Clifford E. Waddell, Jr.  Grandchildren; Chiquita Allen, Maurice Allen (Dawnetta), Cheriekke Dreher, Nyasia Waddell, Kashun Damon (Jamoya), Quanequa Batts, Brianna Robinson (Christopher), Brianna Stukes, Brandon Allen, Madison Allen, and Canaan Marshall.  Great-Grandchildren; Navi Williams, Aniya Allen, Zion Buie, and Kaden Stukes.  Her Siblings; one brother, James Allen (Sherry); two sisters; Jacqueline Allen and Jenny Lee Smith.  Special Nieces:  Wanda (Lulu) Day and Shawn'ta Smith.  She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
