Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday.

Shaerika Rayshonda Mithea King was born on September 13, 1990, to Sheila Walker and Robert King in Wilmington, North Carolina. On October 12, 2024, she departed this life at home in Hampton, GA with the love of her family surrounding her.  Shaerika was educated in the New Hanover County School System, graduating from New Hanover High School in 2008. She worked at Goodyear, DHL, FEDX supply chain, Amazon, and was currently working at Drive Medical (she loved her job) delivering medical supplies.  Being the only child, Shaerika and her mother Sheila had a very close bond, a special relationship that was open and honest. They never kept anything from one another and always had each other's back. Shaerika was many things to Sheila. They were each other's friend, confidant and ride or die, but most of all, she was her baby. In the words of Shaerika, "we are all we got; it's just you and me". YOU ARE TRULY MISSED!!!.  Shaerika was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Nova Rayel, grandfather, Clarence Brown, and her twin, Marcus Berry.  She leaves to cherish her memories, mother Sheila Walker, father Robert King, and Ricky Nixon (who has always loved her as his own daughter); sister, Shakira Bragg; brother, Daquan McMillan; grandmothers, Carrie Corley and Oretha Brown; grandfather, Edward I. Walker; aunts, Erica Walker Smith (Venus); Tiffany L. Jones (Mario); and Nadia Walker; god-sister, Brittany. Walker; 8 great aunts; 8 great uncles; special friend, Shamera Chaney and her 3 babies; and a host of many, many loving cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
