Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church; 719 Walnut Street.  Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Sandra Carleen Robinson , the daughter of the late Samuel J. Robinson, Jr. and Esther Monroe Robinson, was born November 21, 1952, at Community Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina.  She peacefully departed this life on June 09, 2022, at 12:48 P.M. at home.  Sandra was a proud member of the last junior class of Williston High School, the Class of 1968. She was a graduate of New Hanover High School in 1969 and North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina in 1973.  Sandra had additional graduate studies at UNC-Wilmington and North Carolina State University. She was a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.  Sandra served as a past president of Wilmington, NC Alumni Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.   Early in her life, at the age of 12, she joined the church and gave her life to God.  She was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  Throughout the years, she served the church in many capacities. As a science teacher at New Hanover High School, Sandra taught for twenty years before retiring on disability with multiple sclerosis in 1994.  She leaves to cherish her memories: five brothers: James (Carolyn) Robinson, Nathaniel (Peggy) Quick, Samuel J. Robinson, III, Waymond (Angela) Robinson and Jerald Robinson, all of Wilmington, NC; two sisters: Janie R. Jenkins of Wilmington, NC and Gloria W. Pitts of Oakland, CA; uncle and aunts: Dr. and Mrs. J. Waymond (Carol) Robinson of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Mrs. Constance Monroe of Stockton, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates and friends.
