Traveling back and forth to and from Wilmington for vacations and to visit his mother Ms. Gladys as often as time would allow, he always dreamed of returning home at some point.  When his mother passed away back in 2009, he gave his life to Christ Jesus at her homegoing service at St. Phillip AME Church. Under the leadership of Rev. Dr. De Other Melvin, he didn't join the church, but it started him on his journey to wanting to learn more about God.  While in New York he visited churches with friends and family.  Clinging to the promises of the Lord and believing that God will always be on our side, never to lead us a stray.  His faith was the size of a mustard seed, but he knew God was always with him.  In life and now, in passing. Roosevelt worked in many trades during his life.  The one he loved most was handyman work because it allowed him to meet new people.  He gave all he had to his family by showing love and being a protector.  May his soul rest in peace, and his smile and spirit live on forever in our hearts.
