Obituary

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 2, 2022, at St. Phillip AME Church.  Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Church Cemetery, Harrells, NC.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Early Monday morning, April 25, 2022, God laid his hands on Ronnie Wayne Dickerson and said, "Job well done.  It's time to come home and let me now relieve you of all your pain and suffering".  Ronnie was born to the late Thelma Clark and George Dickerson.  He was proceeded in death by his wife Bettie Gray Dickerson, and his brother Van Barley.  He was born March 1, 1957, in Richmond, VA and moved to Atlantic City, NJ where he received his education.  After graduation, he relocated down south to Fayetteville and then Wilmington, NC with his family. He had a passion for working on cars, building things, fishing, crabbing, listening to music, and just hanging out with his kids.  Everyone that knew him, knew that he loved to drink his beer and just live life.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Becky Fennell (Kevin), Quantico Fennell all of Fayetteville, NC, LaTanya Hansley (Anthony) of Hampstead, NC, Ronnie Fennell (Lamont), LaShanna Fennell all of Wilmington, NC, Conrad Dickerson of Jacksonville, NC, and Ronnie Counsil of Camden, NJ.  His Grandchildren: Kiyonte, Kiera, Kishawna, Karion, Champagne, Emmanuel, Lamar, Quashawn, Quantico Jr., Quanisha, Jakeem, Travon.  Sisters: Patricia Barley, Jean Barley, Renee Barley.  Brothers:  Scott Barley, Jo Barley, Bobby Barley, Earl Barley.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his longtime girlfriend, Cathy Anderson.
