A memorial service will be held 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Roland Leroy James "Baby James" was born in Wilmington, NC.  He spent most of his life in Philadelphia, PA.  He was the son of the late Eliza White and the late Sherman James.  He departed this life on January 26, 2024, here in Wilmington, NC.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, and also by his siblings:  Mary E. Johnson, Cheryl Robinson, Gertrude Brunson, Keith White, Cliffertean Brunson, Clifton Brunson, Georgia Ruth Brunson and Charles "FAFA" Brunson.  He leaves to cherish his memories:  Siblings; Julia (Eugene) Starks, Yvonia Lewis, Sherman (Sheila) Brunson, Douglas (Ellie) Brunson, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family members and friends.   Roland's favorite saying: " I LOVE YOU MORE".
