Graveside service will be held 3:00 P.M on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Zion Chapel Church Cemetery, Greenville Loop Road.  Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert Wayne Chavis Jr ., son of the late Robert Wayne Chavis Sr. of Wilmington, North Carolina and Jacqueline Walker of Newark, New Jersey was born on February 12, 1991.  He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  Robert was educated in the New Hanover County School System, graduating from Ashley High School. He was employed with the New Hanover County Schools, but his favorite job was working on cars with his dad. Spending quality time working alongside his dad was one of the happiest times of his life.  Today we are paying tribute to one of God's loving children.  Robert Wayne Chavis, Jr.  was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to everyone. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. We all loved him, but this was Gods way. He fought a good fight, and his life has reached the end of his journey.  Robert is now resting in the arms of the Lord.  He leaves to cherish fond memories: two daughters, Destiny Chavis and Brooklen Chavis both of Wilmington, NC; one son, Jeremiah Chavis of Leland, NC; his mother, Jacqueline Walker of New Jersey; one sister, Latifah Braswell and one brother Ralph Taylor both of New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
