Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. James AME Church, Castle Hayne, NC.  Burial will follow in the John Chapel Cemetery.  Rhonda Mae Wrisbon "Sister" of Castle Hayne, NC was born February 28, 1955, in Wilmington, NC to the late Roosevelt Wrisbon, Sr. and Mary Berniece Wrisbon, departed this life on August 23, 2023, in Lower Cape Fear Life Care, Wilmington, NC.  Rhonda graduated from New Hanover High School, Wilmington, NC in the Class of 1973.  After graduation she attended Miller Mott Business School.  Rhonda grew up and lived in the Rockhill Community, where she was a faithful member, and servant of St James AME Church.  Rhonda served in many roles, Member and Leader of Class #4, Pastor's Aide Group, Local and North Carolina Conference Lay Member, Trustee, Trustee Pro-Tem, Senior Usher, Secretary/Treasurer, Missionary, Stewardess Board President, and Finance Team.  Rhonda worked for over 20 years and retired from Wachovia Bank, and later worked at Roses, until her health failed.   Rhonda was proceeded in death by her parents, and her brother Roosevelt Wrisbon, Jr. Rhonda was a true and loyal friend and helped everyone.  Rhonda leaves to cherish her memories one brother, James Wrisbon, Sr, (Hazel) Wilmington, NC; one sister Marilyn Wrisbon Rhodes (Virgil) Raleigh, NC, two aunts Mrs. Thalia Grady, Wilmington, NC, and Mrs. Henrietta Collins, New York, New York.  Two nieces; Dareka Wilson Raleigh, NC and Jameka Purdie Castle Hayne, NC.  Two nephews, James Wrisbon, Jr. and Cordell Harley Raleigh, NC.  Special cousins, and her Caregivers Marcella and Willard Garrett.  A host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
