Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2023, a Davis Chapel Church.  Burial will follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Rhonda Lewis was born March 4, 1971, to Jimmy and Annie Mae Lewis.  She departed this life on September 25, 2023, in Wilmington, NC.  Rhonda was affectionately known for her big and loud personality, her beautiful voice, and the comedian she was.  She attended Mt. Calvary AME Church in Navassa, NC where she sang in the youth choir for many years. She received her education in the Brunswick County School system at North Brunswick High school, Leland, NC.  She was a member of (N.G.O.) Navassa Girls Only; a group formed in the community.  Her member's name was ' 'Rhon SKI" as shown in one of her photos.  Rhonda worked as a Helpers Aid, where she received her CNA Certification, and worked private duty for years.  She leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Kevon Lewis, and Sequanna Lewis of Navassa, NC, Marcus Lewis, Alicia Hansley, and Byron Lewis of Wilmington, NC, and Tresean Lewis of Alaska, her parents, Jimmy and Annie Mae Lewis of Navassa, NC; her sister, Beverly Lewis (Ronald) of Navassa, NC; her brothers, Jimmy Brown (Brenda) of Navassa, NC, Kenny Lewis (Tracey) of Rocky Point, NC, Harold Lewis, Reginald Lewis (Maretha), and Jerry Lewis of Navassa, NC and Kenny Martin of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Ty'quan, Ta'Nylaa, Samirrayeon, Elaine, Amari, Mazai, Armani, Thea, Amari, and Ashai, her aunts, Janice Brown, Joyce Brown, Katherine Brown, Lilly Brown, and Helen Lewis, her uncles, Joseph Brown and Wilbert Brown, her God-mother Debra Thomas, her special baby, Myonah Bryant, her special cousins, Tonya Lowe, Denise Shaw, Tara Walker, Erika Walker, Errico Moore, Sonya Merrick, Yolanda Merrick, Vinnie Merrick, Shanta Brown, Keon Weston, Jermaine Graham and Tonya Green, her special friends, Mindy Marshall, and Tiesa Doughty.  She also leaves to cherish fond memories:  Nieces:  Shacola, Haneefah, Shakimah, Z'niyah Nesheekay, Teonna, Kimora, Maleiya, Rabah, Latoria, Zyreika, Ziliyah, Martina NyAsisa.  Nephews:  Laquan, Jabree, Cortez, Kamali, Khalil, Sha'Qualyn, Tykeem, JaCaree, Montrell, Darius, Derek, Bryson, Jabriel, Pee-Pee, Trell.  Great nieces:  Jasmine, Kaliyah, Jamiyah, Sharissa, Skylar, Elise.  Great Nephews:  Saquan, Jeremiah, Karter, Ja'zai.
