Reginald "Orono" Bryant, son of the late Margie Bryant, was born on August 20, 1952, in Wilmington, North Carolina. He departed this life and gained eternal rest on September 23, 2025. He grew up in the Armor Community and graduated from Acme-Delco High School.  Orono was more than just a brother to us—he was a friend, a source of laughter, and a constant comfort. He had a way of making everyone feel at home, whether through his warm smile, gentle advice, sense of humor, or his boisterous voice.  He joined Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, where he was a devoted member. He served as an Armor Bearer and willingly helped wherever he was needed— whether transporting someone to a doctor's appointment or to the store.  After graduating high school, he worked at E.I. DuPont in the shipping department until his retirement.  True to his passion for football and baseball, he has made his touchdown and his home run.  He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Hiliary Bryant (Cecile) and Sankey Bryant (Wanda); and six sisters, Barbara Mosley, Jacqueline Robbins, Cynthia Underwood (Charles), Mary Smith (Dolphus), Sandra Keith (James), and Karole Waddell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Waddell.  He is also fondly remembered by special family and friends: Clarence Bryant, Lisa Smith, Marie Andrews, JoAnn Bryant, Loretta Bryant, Rudolph Bryant, and Archie Williams, Jr.  Special nephews include Hiliary Bryant, Jr. and Marlon Bryant, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
