Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Barden Family Cemetery, Turkey, NC. Rae Jean Williams , daughter of the late Margaret Barden was born on November 4, 1954, in Turkey, North Carolina.  She was called home on Monday, June 13, 2022.  Rae was educated in the Sampson County School System, attending and graduating from Union High School.  Rae later married Ernest Allen Williams of Warsaw, North Carolina and moved to Wilmington, North Carolina.  Ernest preceded her in death.  Rae was employed at Century Mills for many years as a top-notch worker.  She loved her job and met many special friends along the way.  She would later gain employment at Queensboro Shirts for many years until she retired.  In addition to her husband and parents, Rae was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Rosa Williams; sister-in-law, Elnois Williams and brother-in-law, Jackie Williams. Rae is survived by: two daughters, Margery A. Barden and Shante' C. Barden both of Wilmington, NC; two grandsons, De'Quan M. Barden of Green Sea, SC and Tyre O. Barden of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Sallie W. Williams of Turkey, NC; a brother, Izaiah Barden of Raleigh, NC; two sisters-in-law, Betty Williams and Margaret Wilson; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Williams, Earl Williams and Joseph Williams; a niece, Regina M. Barden of Turkey, NC; a nephew, Jimmy R. Barden of Magnolia, NC; a special "adopted" daughter, Tammie M. Miller of Wilmington, NC; her cousin, Angelene Williams of Goldsboro, NC who was like a sister; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
