Rachel Lassiter Davis was born in Raleigh, NC to Carol Faye Bailey. She was adopted by Mr. And Mrs. Dennis and Janie Lassiter. She received her high school diploma from the Wake County School System. Rachel went on to marry and had her only child Jacob Davis from that marriage. Rachel later moved to Wilmington NC where she remained until her earthly departure on May 8, 2025. Rachel loved professional football and college basketball. She was an "EVERYTHING Cowboys and UNC-CH Tarheels" kinda fan. She would argue heartedly about her teams with ANYONE. Rachel had a great love for animals and had many pets over the years. She always kept a dog "fur baby" and treated them with extreme love. Everyone that knew her knew she was a different kind of special. She would argue with the trees if she thought she was right and even when she was wrong, but she loved hard and with all her heart. She left to mourn her memory her spouse, Lori Walker; her son, Jacob Davis (MariahWhite); her sisters, Deana Stephens, Christina M. "Kit" Stephens, and Toni C. Brown (Vernon Mclaurin); sisters of love, Slyvia Wood, J'Wan Wynn, Melissa Mitchell, and Samantha Myrick; her beloved cousin, Keith Parham and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
