Early on Saturday morning, January 10, 2026, God in His infinite wisdom called His beloved daughter, Peggy Grady Tindall from time to eternity. Peggy was born on February 19, 1952, in Wilmington, NC. She was the last living daughter born to the late James and Mable Grady. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was baptized and a member of Shoulders Branch Missionary Baptist Church where she loved worshipping with family and friends until her health failed. She was educated in the New Hanover County Schools and attended Williston Senior High. She was employed with several manufacturing jobs and retired from New Hanover Regional Medical Center to care for her ailing mother. In 2016, she was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, and the doctors gave her 2 years, but God saw different. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an avid reader and very outspoken. She said what she meant and she meant what she said! She had a love for flowers with a green thumb that could grow anything. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, Facebook and scratch off's. She finally (WON the Grand Prize) because she loved JESUS the MOST! As you all know, back in the day, Peggy was "A BAD MAMMA JAMMA". Other than her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Johnny "Johnny Boy" Tindall, several siblings: Darlene Grady and Shirlene Platt, Artist Williams "Pete" Willie Grady "Stu-Bird" and James Grady "Bubba." She leaves her precious memories to her daughters, Angelina Grady and LaShele (husband Duane) Crawford; brother, Lorenzo Lawrence and sister, Vernell Kelly; both of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren, Corey Grady, James and Lois Moore, Whitney and Terryka Baldwin, India Williams and Hakeem Gamu; seven great grandchildren, Lamarcus Cooks, Nathaniel and Daniel Wesley, Brycen and Brentley Robinson, Amaya Chance, and Knox Grady; one brother-in-law, Michael Platt, one sister-in-law, Mary Grady of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt, Arlene Grady; five nieces, Shenita Grady, Kisha Jordan, Victoria and Tonya Grady and Karen Robinson; three very special caregivers, Terri McGhee, Keyana Grady and Jumoka Murray; five special friends, Marcella Garrett, Valeria Davis, Krystal Sharpe, Christine Snow and Natalie Middlebrook; and a host of many cousins, and friends.
