Funeral services will 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Mt. Calvary AME Church; 325 Main Street, Navassa, NC.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary AME Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Pearl Lee Grady was born to Mollie Ann Davis and Joe Harris on July 16, 1927, in Navassa, NC.  She entered onto eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at home.  Pearl was raised and educated in the Navassa community, later living, and working as a young woman in Wilmington. Following the death of her mother, she returned to her birth home in Navassa, where she remained until her passing.  Throughout her adult life, Pearl was a hard worker who loved spending her free time with family and friends.  She more importantly loved to serve the Lord and was an active member of Mt. Calvary AME Church until her health no longer permitted.  Pearl found love and marriage with Johnny Grady, who preceded her in death, and through their union, she became the mother of five.  She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Charita Robbins.  She leaves to cherish her memory four children: William Harris (Dena) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Sabrina Hickman of Wilmington, NC, Michael McCoy of Leland, NC, and Deborah Adams of Wilmington, NC.  Eleven grandchildren:  Towanda P. Harris, Trishelle S. Harris, Trevor W. Harris, Pearl L. Harris, William T. Harris, Terrell Richardson, Latwon James, Charles Thomas (Baiyinah), Xavier Thomas, Veronica Parham (Levi), and Sean Nock (Cynthia).  Sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.  She also leaves several special cousins:  Hazel D. Weston, Marvin Dixie, Tiffany Montgomery, Keon Weston, Devin Sheridan, and Perin Montgomery, as well as a host of other friends and family who will miss her greatly.
