Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at New Covenant Holiness Church. Visitation is from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Paul Junior Thompson, 81 years old, son of the late Francis Thompson and Rosa Thompson was born on May 2, 1944, in Whiteville, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life on December 9, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Paul grew up in Whiteville, North Carolina and attended Hallsboro High School. Following high school, Paul furthered his education and obtained a degree in welding. He was employed with Container Products in Wilmington, North Carolina. Paul was a member of New Covenant Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Thompson; daughter, Vanessa Thompson; his son, Francis Thompson, and his siblings, Mary Thompson, Hattie Brown (Joe), James Wilbert (Helen), Eddie Thompson (Barbara), Charles Thompson and Ace Thompson. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his daughters, Patricia Bennett and Angela Poindexter; his son, Paul Thompson; step children, Tiffany Williams, Jeffrey Winn and Shaun Winn; grandchildren, Latoya Thompson, Kenneth Gore, Francis Thompson, Miguel Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Kolton Thompson, Isabella Thompson, and Vanessa Thompson; step-grandchildren, Mondavian Russ and Kai'on Alexander; great-grandchildren, Semiya Thompson, Sehmir Tindall, Demarius Simpson, Addyson Byas, Avya Byas, and Autumn Downey; sister, Mamie Vaught (Eugene); brother, Rev. Billy Thompson (Rita); mother-in-law, Fannie Dickey Winn Freeman; brothers-in-law, William Winn, Jr. (Janet), Reginald Winn, Eric Winn and Ronald Winn; sister-in-law, Sandra Winn, a host of other relatives and friends.
