Patrice Bloodworth was born April 21, 1969, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Marilyn Bloodworth, and the late Sylvanus Bloodworth.  She transitioned into her heavenly reward in the early morning hours of January 30, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvanus Bloodworth.  Patrice was educated in the New Hanover County School System.  She graduated from Emsley A. Laney High School in 1988.  Upon graduation, Patrice relocated to Washington, DC.  While in DC, Patrice pursued her education and was employed at the Martin Luther King Public Library.  Patrice also attended Troutman Beauty School and worked at American Crane.  In 1992, Patrice gave birth to the love of her life, her daughter Charice.  In 1994, her second love was born, her nephew, Jamal, whom she loved and raised as her own.  Patrice accepted Christ at an early age, and became a member of Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, in Wilmington, North Carolina.  There, Patrice accepted her call and became a Licensed Minister.  Later in life, Patrice joined New Townsend Temple Ministries, where she continued to flourish in her ministerial call.  At New Townsend Temple, Patrice faithfully served as a Licensed Minister, Chairperson of the Singles Ministry, and worked diligently with the Youth Ministry.  Patrice spent her life devotedly committed to serving God and spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ.  The Word tells us in John 10:10, that "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more   abundantly".  PATRICE LOVED LIFE AND LIVED IT IN ALL OF ITS ABUNDANCE!  Even though she endured many health issued, it never defined who she was.  Patrice was defined by her Love for God, her Love for Family, and her Zeal for Life.  She enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things, especially with her family.  Her favorite past time was shopping.  She leaves to carry on her legacy, her daughter, Adrienne Charice Johnson; mother, Marilyn Bloodworth; devoted sister, Kim Bloodworth; nephew, whom she raised as her own, Jamal Bloodworth; great nephew, Kai Gillens-Bloodworth; great niece, Jewel Gillens-Bloodworth; aunts; Claretta Murray, Janie McClendon, Tina Freeman, Sharalyn "Diane" Baker (Darnell), Ernestine Waddell (Vincent), Thelma Hemmingway (Clyde), Josephine James, Dorothy Jordon, Barbara Jordan, Audrey Kennedy, Sheila Tyndall, Diedre Murphy; uncles; Dan Bloodworth (Bernadette), Michael Murray (Vanesse), Michael Bloodworth, Theodore Bloodworth (Carietta), Frank Jordan (Sandra), Rudolph Smith, Dennis Smith (Kay); God Children, Asia Walker, Da'Kim Murphy, Learionna Daniels, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
