Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Memorial Cemetery. NO PUBLIC VISITATION.

Michelle C. Allen, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 59.  She was born in Manhattan, New York on December 9, 1965. Michelle was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina by her parents, Walter and Naomi Nelson, who instilled in her a deep love for family and community. Throughout her life, Michelle was known for her unwavering love, compassion, strength, wonderful sense of humor, and her excellent decorating skills.  She was a pillar of her family, always there to lend a listening ear and offer a warm embrace.  Michelle was affectionately known as "Boo-Boo" by Eddie, Latasha, Maurice, and Tatiyana. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Allen of Leland, NC; her daughter, Latasha Collins (S. Maurice) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Tatiyana Collins of Charlotte, NC; her five siblings, Thomas Nelson (Egypt) of Wilmington, NC, Eugene Nelson of Charlotte, NC, Maurice Nelson, Latonia Nelson and Aaron Eady (Angie) of Wilmington, NC; two sisters-in-law, Suzette Curry (Tim) of Leland, NC and Amber Allen of Wilmington, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing that Michelle is now reunited with her parents, Walter and Naomi Nelson, as well as her siblings, Donald Ray Nelson and Delores Lomack (Charlie) of New Jersey.
