Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Mark Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

Harold A. Hicks, Sr. — 1st Sgt. US Army Retired (former Magistrate of New Hanover County, current employed with US Immigration Customs Enforcement).
A family with a long history of dedication and service to the nation. Michael was the son of the late Samuel W. and Edith D. Hicks. He was born December 21,1953, in Wilmington, North Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2024. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel W. Hicks, Ill. Prior to joining the US Military, he was educated in the New Hanover County School System and attended Johnson Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mike as he was so fondly called, leaves to cherish fond memories:
