Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 12, 2024, at New Beginning Christian Church; 3120 Alex Trask Drive, Castle Hayne, NC. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Margie White transitioned on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Novant Hospital in Wilmington, NC.  Margie was born on March 1, 1947, in Wilmington, NC.  Margie grew up in Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.  She worked for many years as a dietitian at August Healthcare at Wilmington (Mariner Nursing Home).  Margie White is preceded in death by her parents, Linda Mae White and Jim Plaier both of South Carolina, brothers, James White and Nathaniel White; son, Damont White and special friend Sam Jones.  Margie survivors include her loving son and daughter, Sammy White and Linda White, as well as a host of special children.  Margie had four grandchildren; Montez White (Crystal White), Shyque Ginwright, Takia Ginwright and Deonta White (Eleanor).  Paternel siblings; Vivian Plainer (Ronnie), Venice Torain, Alice Gurley, Wilkins Jim Plaier, Jr., Almeia Derr, Williams Plaier, all of Baltimore, Maryland.  Special friends Mae Lee Wilson, Celeste Conyers, Celestine, and a host of loving family and friends.
