Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Faith Temple COGIC.  Visitation will start at 3:30 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.  God saw Margaret Elizabeth Nichols load was getting heavy and He whispered in her ear on July 30, 2022, "My child take your rest."  Margaret, affectionately known as "Wilma," was born on March 5, 1951 to the late Elmer Edge Sr. and the late Gladys Dudley Edge in Olde Town, Winnabow, North Carolina.  She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at Moore's Chapel AME Zion Church at an early age. She attended Brunswick County Training School in Southport, North Carolina.  Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Nathaniel Bernard Edge; her daughter, Donna Darlene Edge; her siblings, Margie Wright, Gloria McMillian, Geneva Wright, Deloris McMillian, Gerthel Williams, Harry Lee Edge, and Elmer Edge Jr.  She was gainfully employed at Hampton Inn, Mariner Health Care, and New Hanover Regional Medical Center for many years as a housekeeper. She loved cleaning and she took pride in cleaning.  Margaret loved everyone she met and she always had a smile on her face. She even left you laughing after her conversation.  She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband, Steve Nichols of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, Tanika Edge of Charlotte, NC, Ebony Edge of Burgaw, NC, and Demetrius Edge of Goldsboro, NC; her great-grandchildren, Jamar Brooks, Janiya Brooks, Nylah Edge, Mason Roberson, Emani Butler, and Dawson Edge; three stepchildren, Debbie Elliott, Robbie Nichols, and Katrina Luptonher all of Shreveport, LA; sister, Gladys Edge of Winnabow, NC; her brothers, Robert Edge of Winnabow, NC and Elder Lorenzo (Ann) Edge of Wilmington, NC; two sisters-in-law Vernie Edge of Leland, NC and Cynthia Edge of Newport, VA; brother-in-law, Johnny McMillian of Winnabow, NC; her goddaughter/ niece, Tosha Edge; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her dear friends, Virginia McKoy, Debra Dillon and Tarnesha Bryant.
