Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mable Davis , daughter of the late Odessa and Marshall Robbins was born on February 8, 1923, in Brunswick County, North Carolina.  She departed this earthly life on January 25, 2023 at the age of 99 years old. Mrs. Mabel moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in her teens.  An area in Wilmington called "Tank Town" was her home until 1950, when she along with her husband Leroy and their two boys, Robert and Eddie moved to the southside.  Ms. Mable as she was widely known, was a lifetime member of First Baptist Missionary Church.  At First Baptist she was a member of the Missionary Society and served on the Senior Usher Auxiliary #2 until she retired.  Mable was employed at Blocks Shirt Factory from which she retired after thirty-five years. Ms. Mable was always busy driving someone somewhere; to the doctor, grocery store or wherever they needed to go.  She was quite upset when she was told at the age of 90 that she could not drive anymore.  Thank God for her loving spirit and her will to be helpful to others, in any way she could. In addition to her parents, Ms. Mable was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy and her daughter, Edna Lowe.  Days following her passing, her son-in-law, Preston Walker went home to be with the Lord. Remembering Ms. Mable and loving her always is: her daughter, Barbara Walker; two sons, Eddie Davis (Valeria) and Robert Davis (Carolyn); eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a very special family friend, Margaret Nixon.
