FACE COVERINGS ARE STILL REQUIRED

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Christian Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church; Browntown Community. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Lilliebell Nixon Irving peacefully entered eternal life on Saturday, March 18, 2023.  She was born on June 4, 1948, to the late McKinley and Mary Nixon.  Lilliebell was affectionately known by many names, to include Bell, Rabbit, BaBa, or Aunt Lillie. She could always keep you engaged with her storytelling and was always available to be a good listening ear.  It would always be a treat on your birthday to await her call, because she would sing her special version of "Happy Birthday to You".  She loved music and singing in general.  If you had the pleasure of spending time with her, you would hear her either singing or humming a gospel song.  Oh, and the dancing, we must not forget the dancing. Even after the amputation she never stopped dancing!  She loved her family and friends deeply and never had a problem telling you something with grace and sometimes not so gracefully.  That was one of her many attributes that made her so unique.  Lilliebell also loved animals, and Slash was her "main man", and now they are back together again.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Glenn Nixon and six siblings.  Lilliebell leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter, Tiffany Irving; sister, Angela Nixon to whom was more than just a sister; brothers; Porter Nixon (Lemetta) and Telfair Nixon, granddaughter; Briahna Nixon, and great-granddaughter; Zariah Brown.  Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.  A very special thanks to Rudy Hardison with Care Providers of Wilmington, NC, for the loving care you provided in many ways it never went unnoticed.
