Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Marvin Lester Neal, affectionately known as "Luke" or "Luke Skywalker," entered eternal rest on January 18, 2026, at the age of 65.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring uncle, and loyal friend whose life was a blessing to all who knew him.  Born on September 26, 1960, Marvin was raised with strong values of family, faith, and hard work.  He attended North Brunswick High School, where he graduated in 1978.  In his younger years, he developed a deep passion for music and became a DJ with Star Mac Disco and Sun Disco.  Marvin was a hardworking and skilled mason who took pride in his craft.  He also worked faithfully for many years at the Ports of Wilmington Cold Storage, where he was known as a dependable and dedicated employee.  Lester was known for his joyful spirit, quick wit, and contagious laughter.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh.  Above all, Lester loved his family and leaves behind legacy of love, strength, and beautiful memories that will live on forever.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Stella Neal; children, Jamaal Neal, Jameel Neal, Jalisa Neal; twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Victoria Shaw of Leland, NC, Yolanda Neal of Tampa, Fl, Valeria Lewis of NJ; brothers, Frederick Neal of Rosella, NJ, Thomas Neal (Tiara) of Roselle, NJ, John Neal of Roselle, NJ; brothers-in-law Mike Turner (Elaine), Vest Stant Ishman Harris (Cynthia), Jerry Hacers (Kenyetts), Micheal Hazeis (Sheila); sister-in-law Ophelia Harris; special niece and nephew, Aaliyah Walker, Derrick Clennons, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
