Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 5, 2024, at Warner Temple AMEZ Church.  Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:30p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lawrence Edward "Mickey" Frost, son of the late Louis and Maggie Frost was born on June 4, 1939.  He transitioned on January 28, 2024 at Novant Hospital. Mickey worked many years at Corbett Mill and Caretaker of Pine Forest Cemetery.  He was a soft-spoken person and a man of very few words.  Mickey as he was so fondly called loved his children and family.  He was a man of his word. In addition to his parents, Mickey was also preceded in death by his brothers, Elijah "Tut" Frost and James "Dirt" Frost. Mickey is survived by: his children, Lawrence Frost, Jr. (Pamela) of Raleigh, NC, Felica McCormick (Steve) of Greensboro, NC and Jarra Frost of Wilmington, NC; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Frost of Waterboro, SC and Earl Frost of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Mary Thomas of Wilmington, NC and Barbara Frost of Seattle, WA; four nephews, Adrian (Thresha) Frost of Wilmington, NC, Tracey (Kelly) Frost of Waterboro, SC, Kevin (Kelly) Frost of Canada and Elijah Frost of Newark, NJ; two nieces, Kisha Frost of Newark, NJ and a favorite niece, Latanya Lloyd of Delco, NC; a host of other relatives and friends, including a best friend, Carl Lee Baldwin and special friend, Lisha McCormick.
