Funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service on Sunday.

On January 7, 1987 God blessed the Wallace family with a beautiful bouncing baby girl.  LaTeshia was the oldest daughter to Rodney Edwards and Eugenia M. Wallace.   She was a bundle of joy, a very happy baby from the very beginning of her life,and continued to enjoy her life until her transition to life everlasting on June 21, 2022.   LaTeshia had a zest for life that she carried with her all her life.  She was a free spirit that wanted to love and help anyone she could and often did.  This kind of love will be missed by many.  LaTeshia was educated in the public school system of New Hanover County, and held many jobs in and around the area.  She was a great cook and enjoyed feeding the masses. She was always ready for a good time.  We will deeply miss her humbleness, her loving caring ways and all that she might have been able to accomplish.  LaTeshia was preceded in death by her daughter, Mazyla Wallace and a loving and devoted grandfather, Charlie M. Wallace. Her memory will be carried on by: her daughters, Makayleigh  and Mykhia Wallace-Corbett of  Riegelwood, NC and Aniya Brown of Wilmington, NC; her mother, Eugenia Wallace of the home; father, Rodney (Vicki) Edwards of Richmond, VA;  her siblings, Racquel Wallace, Matthew Wallace and Roddricka Edwards all of Wilmington, NC and Danesha Hendricks of Lumberton, NC; her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Willene  Gattison of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Gerald (Sharon) of Long Creek, NC, Fredrick (Donna) of Wilmington, NC and Robert, (Karen) of Oak Island, NC; aunt, Charlene of Wilmington, NC; great-uncles, Charles Taylor and Lawrence Robinson both of Wilmington, NC; niece, Zamyah Brickle; nephews, Elajuwaun and Anthony Wallace both of Wilmington, NC, other relatives and friends, including her best friend, Ebony Bellamy of Wilmington, NC.
