Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Pollock Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Kathy Janice Bracey Brown, born May 8, 1959, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, at the age of 66.  A longtime resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy was known for her faith, compassion, and devotion to her family.  Originally from Bolton, North Carolina, Kathy made Atlanta her home and was a devoted member of Embassy City Church, where her faith guided her life of service and care for others.  She lovingly supported the children in her family, offering guidance, comfort, and endless encouragement. Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Rowena Caroline Bracey Edwards and Roosevelt Jacobs.  She was preceded in death by siblings Barbara Joann Bracey, John Henry Bracey, George Dudley Edwards, William Randolph Bracey, and Carol Marie Edwards Jones.  She is survived by her husband, Marvin Brown, sister, Sara Bracey Woodruff (George); children, Barbara Bracey Henderson (Ramone), William Bracey (Michelle), Michael Brown, and Marvin Brown; and bonus children, Masheka Cobb, Octavia Holmes, Jeffrey Cobb, and Jackeema Roland (Brian).  She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.  Kathy will be remembered for her kindness and the love she so freely shared.
