Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at island Creek Missionary Baptist Church;325 Harrison Creek Rd, Rocky Point, NC 28457. Burial will follow in the Sidbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Karen Ann Marshall, daughter of the late Joseph L. Marshall and Betty L. Marshall was born on May 22, 1969. She entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Karen was educated in the Pender County School System. She joined Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church early in life. Karen loved the Lord and was an avid reader of "Our Daily Bread", where she studied her scriptures daily. Karen later relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Nicholas Sinclair Marshall of Jacksonville, NC; one granddaughter, Sierra Howard; two sisters, Diann Marshall of Castle Hayne, NC and Patricia Marshall of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers, Robert Marshall (Helen) of Wilmington, NC and Charles Marshall (Audry) of Hampstead, NC; two aunts, Lillian Stevens and Lilly Jane Shird both of New Bern, NC; two uncles, James Marshall (Wanda) and William Marshall (Catherine) all of Rocky Point, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
