Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Mt Moriah AME Church, Rocky Point, NC    Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Joyce Anne Johnson, daughter of the late James Owen Carr and Hazel Boykins was born on December 7, 1943. She departed her earthly home for her heavenly home on June 3, 2024, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, North Carolina. Joyce attended Pender County Training School.  Joyce was a member of Mt. Moriah AME Church where she attended and served on the Pastor's Aid Committee until her health failed. Joyce is preceded in death by her step-father William Arthur Smith, and her six siblings: James Carr, Roy Lee Car, Benjamin Carr, Hazel Banks, Vernetta Car Murphy and Andrew Carr.  Left with loving memories of this wonderful life:
