Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Joseph Lewis Moore , lovingly known as "Posey" was born to Phyllis and Raymond Moore on June 29, 1991, in Portsmouth, Virginia.  He departed this earthly life on January 30, 2023. "Posey" was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina and attended New Hanover High School where he graduated June 2009.  At an early age he gave his life to Christ and Joined Kendall Chapel AME Church in July 2007, where he was an active member.  Joseph was an intelligent, kind and gentle being.  A man of few words, he always dedicated his time to helping others.  His mannerism was impeccable and always respectable towards people.  He had a deep love for music, his family and nature.  He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and nurturing mother, Phyllis Clark (dedicated stepfather, Tony); his father, Raymond Moore (Marie) of Mississippi; his oldest sibling, Tiranie L. Hansley; oldest brother, Raymond Moore, Jr. (Monet); sisters, Danelle Moore and Taylor Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
