Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Grady-Moore Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. on Saturday prior to the service.

Jimmy Lewis Tate, Jr., age 53, of Lantana, Florida, passed away on October 16, 2024.  Jimmy, son of Patricia Ann Grady and Jimmy Lewis Tate, Sr. was born March 15, 1971 in Washington, DC. Jimmy was a beloved father and friend to many.  Known for his great sense of humor, he touched countless lives with his kindness and resilience. Jimmy L. Tate, Jr. is survived by: his three children, Jimmell Tate, Deonte' Tate and Journee Tate; his sister, Sharon Tate; his brother, Reggie "Pug" Tate; his aunts and uncles; one niece, Diamond Jones; two nephews, Anthony Tate and Marcelius Jones, cousins, other relatives and friends from Washington, DC, North Carolina, Atlanta and Florida, all to carry forward his legacy, and his French Bully, "Onyx Tate".

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Foundation www.alsgeorgia.org , reflecting Jimmy's lifelong commitment to finding a cure to ALS and helping others faced with the challenges of the incurable disease of ALS.
