Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday.

Jimmie Lee Bostic was born on June 24, 1945, the fourth child of five (5) children, to the late Alex Wells Bostic and Nettie Stewart Bostic.  He entered, into rest on March 31, 2022, in Wilmington, NC.  Jimmie known as "Outlaw" in some parts of the United States, and had a love for people, dogs and music.  Born and raised on the Northside of Wilmington (Nixon Street).  He left Wilmington in 1975, to build a life in Lakeland, FL.  He returned home to his roots, in 2002 to be closer to his family.  In 2002, his doctor told Jimmie that he had six (6) months to live.  He told the doctor "God promised me three score and ten" and I'm going get them, and so, he did, and then some.  Upon his return he moved to the Hillcrest community where he was given the title "The Mayor of Hillcrest" by the residents. Jimmie was also a member of Warner Temple AME Zion Church, which he attended faithfully for as long as his health would allow. Jimmie will be greatly missed by each and every one he touched.  Jimmie was proceeded in death by his brothers, Alexander Bostic (Sarge), James Bostic (Cut Deep), William Bostic Sr. (Watson) and his niece Joyce Bostic.  Left to carry on his memory is his only sister Carrie Bostic Matthews of Wilmington, NC (Arnold).  His Nieces, Larnice Bostic of Michigan City, IN, Yolanda Bostic-Pigford of Leland, NC (David), Nephews, William Bostic Jr. (Kimee), Theodore Bethune (Jaquana), Shawn Bostic, and the love of his life his grand-niece Markeyta Bostic, whom he affectionally called Quita, and a host of other grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
