Jeffery A. Wright "aka Bobie and Jeff", departed this life on September 23, 2024. He was born on July 2,1961 to S. Gladys and Walter L. Wright, whom have both preceded him in death. Jeff was educated in New Hanover County Schools and started in the food service industry at the age of 16, he worked most of those years as a cook or a chef. His skills took him to Baltimore and Atlanta. After experiencing many levels of positions, including management; he was quick to proudly admit that "being at the beginning or the end of the line" that prepared a meal that made a customer happy, or a repeat customer was "almost better than his paycheck". The experience he enjoyed the most, was when he and his son worked together. He joined the team a few years after Chris and was mortified when his team members called him "Mr. Jeff." He said, "oh you guys got jokes about my age", huh? Somebody answered, "well look around, you're the oldest person in the room". He laughed so hard because he had not noticed. Jeff has cooked in most of the finest dining restaurants in downtown Wilmington. He was featured in an article in the Wilmington Star News in the height of his career. His good cooking will be sorely missed by many, especially during the holidays. Jeff was preceded in death by a brother (infant) Stephen Christopher Robinson and a sister Deborah Y. Wright. Left to cherish his memories are his son Christopher Swepson and granddaughter, Makayla. His sisters and brothers: Michelle, Marjorie, Renee, Adrian and Stephanie, all of Wilmington; Margaret McCleod, (NY), Gloria Perry (PA) and Dwayne Wright also of Wilmington. His favorite confidant Nadine "Neicey" Stubbs. Nieces and nephews are too numerous to name and many, many cousins and friends. We're gonna miss you "Bobie".
