Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Enoch Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.

Jason Jerome Millhouse Sr., affectionately known as (Big Mill), was born on January 28, 1958, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Jason Charles Millhouse, and Juanita Bellamy Millhouse.  He was called home to be with the Lord and his mother and father on June 1, 2022.  Jason attended New Hanover High School, where he was a member of the marching band, and the football team.  He was very popular.  He kept all his peers and friends in high spirits. Jason worked under the leadership of his father and became a member of ILA 1426, as well as a professional concrete finisher. Jason played for Death Valley Sandlot Football team during the years of the Turkey Bowl days.  Those were the good old days, gone but not forgotten. Jason was known for his love of music, where he played the lead guitar with various groups.  His favorite band was Parliament – Funkadelic, and his favorite song was Maggot Brain. Jason was preceded in death by his grandson Micah.  He leaves to cherish his memories:  His children Jason Jerome Millhouse Jr. (Thelma), Jerrod Millhouse, Michael Hall (Kimaya), Jasmine Millhouse (Sherrod), Derico Faison, Valeria Hall, Eukia Wiggins (Bob), Teresa Luzon (Alex).  A host of grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Four aunts; Nancey Mitchell of the city, Ruth Hopkins, Dora Hardy, and Ida Millhouse all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Three uncles; Walter Ray Millhouse, James Millhouse, and Anthony Millhouse, all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a host of family and friends.
