Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Saturday at the Willie L. Shaw Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery, Leland, NC.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

James Jeffrey Grady, the youngest son of Alethia Williams Grady was born on November 1, 1958, in Wilmington, NC.  He departed his earthly life for his heavenly home on August 2, 2022.  Jeffrey was a very humble, sacrificing, and caring man.  He had a very magnetic personality that drew people from all walks of life.  He had a close and loving relationship with his mother and niece.  He had many devoted friends that enjoyed his fellowship.  Jeffrey enjoyed all sports, but his love was basketball.  Jeffrey really loved life.  He graduated from Hoggard High School in 1977.  He attended Appalachian State University from 1977 – 1978 on a basketball scholarship.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Jacqueline Shaw Green.  He leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, Alethia Williams Grady; brothers; Wilson Grady, Jr. (Eloise) of Wilmington, NC, Charles Grady (Brenda) of Leland, NC, and Curtis Grady of Jacksonville, Florida, one brother-in-law Harold V. Greene, Sr.  Two special friends; Jeff Walker, Jeremy Male, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
